It’s about Gothic Lolita a style that that started in Japan. the reason I chose this topic is because it sparks an inters to me and I like some of the outfits.
I learn that they were many Lolita styles; my favorite styles are Gothic and Wa Lolita.

I have also have notes that in some ways relates to culture spying.And how the fad started by a J-rock band in japan some of the teens began to weir them and called it a style. just like our teens here in America.

i have really enjoyed this project and the research for this class and that a lot coming from me who hate home work.:)

this is a movie that jalen and me alfredo did. it was fun using tech and having fun  recording. The movie is about me snaping my fingers and my friend with the clothes dissapear and comes to me because since i’m the person that looks wierd i decide to copy his style only the things that i like. Like the glasses, the chain, the shoes, the glove, even the phone that i never thought to wear.  It was fun at marwen where we made the movie. I did this because i thought it was fun.But what i think about people spying on teens and their things that they call cool is ok. They are saying what they wear and go to stores that say that are awesome. to them. But what i feel is that it is ok.

Work in progress. There are famous singers and actresses who are known to dress the best – and a few models who have already made it to the top. I think that the models and actresses are the ones who push the new trends that the marketers hand them. If we see someone that we like as an actress or singer in a really nice outfit, we’re going to be like “oh, that’s cute. that looks good on her.” And ultimately we will think it’ll look good on us too. My poster is about The Marketers- spies or thieves? Are they simply spying on the teen nation to capture what we are like or to simply steal our style? Tom Cruise or Robinhood? Or both? I made it because I’ve seen alot of pictures on the internet that interested me, like collages – also graphic designing is really fun, haha. It took a few minutes to come up with an idea, but when i started on it it was cool. It says that the ’stars’ project the new fashions that the marketers originally get from us.

we mainly looked up videos concerning “emos”, which basically all mentioned emo being “unsafe”.  that’s honesty rediculous considering that suicide and cutting has to do with depression, not being “emo” which deals more with a certain style of music and the clothing that accompanies it.  it’s also really dumb since only a portion of the “emo” subculture cuts/commits suicide.  i mean, really, i’ve never seen a newscast on how unsafe gangs are, the only difference there is that they’re hurting other people, not themselves, and it’s much more common.

also, if your kid is cutting or wanting to kill themselves, there is a lot more wrong with them than being “emo”.

yeah lol i think the whole culture spy thing is really not cool . yeah i believe the whole thing is like the reason there is streo   type style . yeah some teen will use what the median put out of what a style so they could be who they really are. yeah what i am trying to say is that i will dress like what a emo looks like so i can get away with my outside art because i know  that i will get away with it because i dont look like what a tagger . cant you see that i just used streo types

today i had an awsome time having this discussion! It is so true…i learned how each stylecomes to the style..and its so true… I never imagined it like dat till now…I hope there is another style coming up….

what we did today was ok. i did not think that there was alot of things that kids wore so much stuff.i really dont even think that we got all the stuff they do wear. but not all kids wear thhe same stuff. as we list that only one type of style of what a “cool kid” is.there are alot. they we did not even list

A Day On The Job

The first day i went on my “trend-hunt” was the first step to becoming a culture spy. My cousin, Liz, and i searched for hours for the person who we thought had the best style. when 6pm came aroundwe went back to Liz’s house. There, was the person who i chose to film. My cousin Teria sat in the living room. She wore the cutest pnk, lace camisal, with capris and flip flops. it was cute yet comfortable. Thats the basic style that most teens go for on an 88 degree day. It felt like destiny had brought myself and her cute outfit together.
